Rohit Sharma abuses in argument with Jadeja before Klaasen's DRS goes viral - WATCH

In the current ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, India demonstrated their strong abilities in a convincing victory over South Africa in Kolkata on Sunday, November 5, securing a significant 243-run lead. Virat Kohli’s 49th ODI century, supported by Shreyas Iyer’s consistent half-century, as well as valuable contributions from captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja, were key factors in India’s impressive total.

The Indian bowlers, like Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav, made things really difficult for the South African team. Jadeja’s five-wicket display was particularly important in helping India stay on top during the game.

During the game, there was a funny moment involving the team’s captain, Rohit Sharma, and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. It happened when the umpire, Kumar Dharmasena, initially said that Heinrich Klaasen was not out. However, Rohit wasn’t so sure and decided to review the decision after Jadeja kept urging him to do so. Rohit said in a funny way, “Yahi ek batsman hai (This is the only batsman),” and this review confirmed Klaasen’s dismissal, surprising both the batsman and the umpire. The slow-motion replays revealed that the ball was going to hit the stumps, and three red marks popped up on the big screen at the stadium. As a result, the on-field umpire had to change his decision from ‘not out’ to ‘out.’ It was a lighthearted and amusing moment in the game.

When Klaasen got out after scoring 40 runs in the 13th over, it started South Africa’s decline, and they ended up with a very low total of 83 runs. Jadeja’s outstanding bowling made him the second Indian bowler to take five wickets in the World Cup 2023. India scored 326 runs in this innings and Virat Kohli hit his 49th ODI century on his birthday which matches Sachin Tendulkar’s record.
